Membership
Group Size
• The club targets a membership of 16–20 players, allowing for up to three simultaneous four-balls.
• As the group grows, additional four-balls will be added at consecutive tee times starting 12:30.
The Active Four-Ball
• At any given time, one four-ball of confirmed players holds the dedicated 12:30 tee time.
• The four players who played the previous Saturday are automatically confirmed for the following Saturday.
• A player retains his spot week-to-week as long as he continues to participate.
The Reserve Bench
• All members not in the active four-ball are placed on the Reserve Bench.
• Should a confirmed player be unable to play, the first bench member to indicate availability takes his spot.
• The bench replacement is then automatically confirmed for the following Saturday.
• The original player who stepped down moves to the Reserve Bench until his next opportunity.
• If two confirmed players cannot make it simultaneously, two bench members are called up in the same manner.
• A bench member who is called up but subsequently cannot make it is not penalised — he returns to the bench.
Future Expansion
• Upon reaching more than 8 active members, a second four-ball will be introduced.
• Upon reaching more than 12 active members, a third four-ball will be introduced.

Administration
Group Commissioner
The Group Commissioner is responsible for:
• Conducting weekly rollcall and confirming the four-ball lineup.
• Managing the Reserve Bench and player rotations.
• Enforcing the disciplinary framework.
• Maintaining the season leaderboard.
• Making final decisions on all disputes. The Commisioner’s decision is final.
WhatsApp Group
• The group is the primary communication channel.
• These rules are to be pinned at the top of the group at all times.
• All rollcall responses, cancellations, and announcements are to be made in this group.
Weekly Rollcall &
Confirmation
• Every Tuesday, the Group Commissioner will conduct a rollcall via the WhatsApp group.
• All confirmed players must indicate availability by Wednesday at 12:00.
• Any confirmed player who does not respond by Wednesday 12:00 will be deemed unavailable and their spot opens to the bench.
• The final four-ball lineup will be confirmed and posted by Wednesday afternoon.

Discipline & Conduct
Cancellations
• The cancellation deadline is Friday at 18:00.
• Any cancellation received before Friday 18:00 is considered a standard withdrawal — the player moves to the Reserve Bench.
• Any cancellation received after Friday 18:00 is considered a Late Cancellation and is subject to disciplinary action.
Disciplinary Framework
The following framework applies to misconduct including late cancellations, no-shows, and conduct unbecoming of a member:
• Level 1 (Less Serious): Player buys a round of drinks for all players after the round
• Level 2 (Serious): Player buys a round of drinks AND sits out for two consecutive Saturdays
• Level 3 (Worst Case): Permanent removal from the group
Late Cancellation Fine:
• Player who cancels after Friday 18:00 must pay for a round of drinks for all active players on the following Saturday.
Emergencies
• Genuine emergencies will always be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Group Commissioner.
• A member facing a real emergency will not be penalised. Common sense prevails.
Dress Code
• Golf attire is compulsory at all times.
• Wingate Park Golf Club dress code standards apply. No exceptions.

These rules are binding on all members of the Saturday Swingers Club.
Swing well. Play fair. Buy your round. ⛳🍻

Game Format & Scoring
Weekly Format
• The daily format (Stableford, stroke play, match play, etc.) is determined by Wingate Park Golf Club and will be communicated to players on the day.
• All players compete on their official Handicap Network of South Africa (HNA) handicap.
Season Leaderboard
• A cumulative season leaderboard will be maintained throughout the year.
• Points are awarded each Saturday based on finishing position:
1st Place: 4 points | 2nd Place: 3 points | 3rd Place: 2 points | 4th Place: 1 point
• The player with the most points at year-end is crowned Club Champion.
• In the event of a tie, the player with more weekly wins takes the title.
Wooden Spoon
• Last place each Saturday earns the Wooden Spoon — a title to be worn (and explained) with pride. This player will also be looking forward to a "Rumblr" on his own account.
Prize Money
• Every player brings a R50 cash note on the day of play. No exceptions.
• Prize money is calculated as follows:
Winner: Takes all contributions minus second place’s R50.
2nd Place: Keeps his own R50.
3rd & 4th Place: Lose their R50.
• This structure scales as the group grows — the bigger the group, the bigger the winner’s payout.
Example: 8 players x R50 = R400 pool. Winner takes R350. 2nd keeps his R50.

Post-Round Tradition
A beer — or two, or eight — shall be shared among members after every round.
This is not optional. This is the glue.
Year-End Function
• At the end of each season, the club will host a year-end prize-giving function at Wingate Park Golf Club.
• The Club Champion and notable achievements from the season will be recognised.
• Members will contribute to costs when the time comes.
• Details to be confirmed by the Commissioner closer to the date.
